INTERVALS FOR TREATMENT: |
Once horses reach 2 ½ years, they should be checked two times a year and treated if necessary (When the change over from milk teeth to lasting teeth starts to occur). Horses over 5 years should be checked once a year.
Foals should be also checked for malfunctions of the teeth.
Horses with grave malformations and older horses should be checked half-yearly, whereby the intervals can be adjusted according to the type and severity of the malformation.
